Hayden Quinn became a household name in 2011 when series three of MasterChef Australia shone a light on the diverse talents of this loveable Aussie surfer. Warm beef and mushroom salad

Prepare the beef first. Oil the beef and season with salt, pepper and cumin. Heat a non-stick frying pan and sear the beef on all sides, continue cooking to your desired doneness (although I am going to recommend you cook it medium-rare). Let the beef cool and rest for an hour before you need it.
